Girls achieve hard fought win

Even with a poor shooting performance , our lady wildcats achieved a hard fought victory in OT against cross town rival Pomona 50-48.Leading the way was Jesse Kenney with 18 points 10-13 from the foul line. Tough stretch playing ranked teams, leaves varsity 0-3 for week

After ending December with a 3-0 run in the Prairie View tournament, a tough schedule left the varsity 0-3 to start January and into league play. Varsity girls basketball completes the sweep in round robin tournament

After cancelling the opening round of the tournament on Tuesday, organizers reshuffled the tournament to a round robin format. Varsity took advantage by handing out losses to Legacy, Eaglecrest and host Prairie View HS, to finish the week. Impressive performances  by all the girls, led us to much needed wins. Thursday night found our girls varsity pull away and defeat Legacy HS 47-30. Ellie Mills lead all scorers with 19 points including four  3 pointers during the contest . Jessi Kenney 10points, 9 rebounds, and Alyson Ochs 7 points, 3 steals and 3 assists also contributed during the game. A great team defensive effort during the contest,  saw Legacy score only

Varsity ended Fairview tournament shorthanded

Missing several girls, do to other activities, the Varsity  battled hard before succumbing to Silver Creek HS 57-40. Playing the first half relatively even, we ended the first half down 25-21. Short handed varsity hang tough in loss to Palmer

Giving a valiant effort last night , the girls varsity loss a highly contested contest 62 to 56 to Palmer HS. Several lead changes occurred during the contest in which a never give up attitude was present thru out the game. The level III girls basketball game for 12/12 has been postponed. Rescheduled date will be posted as soon as a date can be arranged.

Opening round loss in Fairview Festival, up next Palmer HS

Fighting hard all the way , the varsity girls loss to perennial power Broomfield HS 56-30. Missing 2 starters along the way,  Miranda Schiffbauer turned in a solid performance scoring 11 points to lead the way. Also in  tournament play, the Junior Varsity lost a close game against Broomfield 36-32. Both teams resume play today,

Lower levels start off strong in opening week action

Both Junior Varsity and C-Team level programs start the opening week off with impressive sweeps by their respective teams. Both teams sit at 2-0  Going into this week  the Junior Varsity play in the Fairview Tournament, starting on Tuesday the December 8th, with a 5pm tip off against Broomfield.
