Girls Varsity Softball · SB: Three Wildcats celebrate National Signing Day!


Today is National Signing Day for senior student-athletes around the state, including three from our 2017-18 Wildcat Softball team. We are so proud of the hard work these ladies have put in and can’t wait to see how they succeed at the next level of their careers!

KAILEY ROBB has committed to playing softball and continuing her education at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL. Kailey was a 3-year Varsity starting outfielder for A-West. She appeared in 66 games as a Wildcat, and finished her career with a .347 average, collecting 67 hits- including 7 doubles, 1 triple and 5 homeruns (all of which came her senior year). She drew an impressive 27 walks, and drove in 50 runs for the Wildcats.  She’s earned All-Conference honors 3 times, once as a 2nd Team selection and twice as “Honorable Mention.” She is also a CHSAA 1st Team Academic All-State award winner.

SHEA MAUSER has committed to playing softball and continuing her education at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, CO. Shea was a 4-year Varsity starting pitcher for A-West. She played in 80 games as a Wildcat, with 67 of those in the pitching circle. As a pitcher, Shea finished her Wildcat career with an incredible 468 strikeouts in 325 innings. She threw 5 no hitters, 12 shutouts, and finished with a 34-17 career record.  She gave up an average of *just* 3 hits per game, and held opponents to a .178 batting avg against.  Offensively, Shea held a .332 average, collecting 64 hits and driving in 46 runs! Shea earned Jeffco All-Conference honors all 4 years- 2nd team as a freshman, and then 1st team honors every season since. Shea has also been selected 3 times as a CHSAA All-State winner- Honorable Mention, 2nd Team, and then 1st Team honors her senior year! Shea is also a CHSAA 1st Team Academic All-State award winner, as well as a Les Schwab Academic All-State award winner.

MORGAN CLAUSEN has committed to playing softball and continuing her education at North Florida University in Jacksonville, FL. Morgan was a 4-year Varsity starter for A-West. She appeared in 83 games as a Wildcat, with 37 of those in the circle. She was 13-11 on the mound and had 121 strikeouts. Offensively, Morgan compiled an impressive and powerful career at the plate. She finished with a .429 batting average, in 266 at bats. She tallied 114 hits, 90 RBI, 26 doubles, 16 triples, 10 homeruns and 1 grand slam. Morgan earned 2nd Team Jeffco All-Conference honors as a freshman and sophomore, and then earned 1st Team All-Conference honors her junior and senior seasons. Her senior year she was also honored as a First Team CHSAA All-State award winner! Morgan is also CHSAA 1st Team Academic All-State selection, as well as a Les Schwab Academic All-State award winner.
