Multiple Teams · SB: Cats pound their way to 15-0 win over Chaparral HS

The varsity Wildcat softball team flat out pounded the ball, in route to a 15-0 run rule victory over Chaparral HS at A-West on Monday afternoon.

Morgan Clausen, blasted a first inning GRAND SLAM to put the Cats up 4-0 right away and set the tone for what would be a 14 batter, 10 run first inning! Clausen would also have an RBI double in the 2nd inning, to finish the day with 5 RBIs! Christaana Angelopulos also had a stand out day, going 2-for-3. She drilled a 2 RBI triple in the second inning, and then a bases clearing double in the 3rd, to drive in her 5 RBIs as well. She also came around to score twice for the Cats. Shelby Robb continues to be a triples hitting machine for A-West, going 2-for-4 with two triples today. Robb’s 4th inning RBI triple drove in the game ending run, and her 5th RBI on the day as well. She also stole 2 bases and scored 3 runs herself! Clausen, Angelopulos and Robb drove in all 15 of the Cats today!

Not to be outdone by the Wildcat hitters, Shea Mauser was dominating in the circle again for A-West. Mauser pitched her second NO-HIT shut out win of the season, while striking out 7 of the 16 Wolverine batters she faced!.
